Sigurd Slåttebrekk is creator and producer of this year's Thea Award winning The Music Factory (Attraction Limited Budget). Slåttebrekk is also a PhD and Professor of piano, and a former award-winning concert pianist. As creator and producer of children´s content in Animando over the last 10 years, he has led multiple productions of Elias, a Norwegian animated children’s classic with a wide international impact. Over the last years, Slåttebrekk wanted to combine his two fields of competence in a multi-faceted project for family audiences: The Music Factory. This project seeks to engage children with entertaining and innovative music experiences in interactive formats, breaking down historical barriers around classical music, making it fun and accessible for everyone.
